The phrase “best practices” is a term commonly used in the business world to describe the most effective way of doing things. In most cases, these best practices are developed from decades of trial and error from companies who have been able to refine their approach through research and testing. Nevertheless, there are always better ways to do things that can help your company save money, reduce waste, and make more ethical choices for your customers.
The best practices are good, but they’re not perfect
For the past 20 years, “best practices” have been defined as the best way to do something. However, there are many other acceptable methods that are just as effective, if not more so ,few of these better practices that should be used in place of traditional best practices for business success.

At first glance, it may seem as if the concept of “best practices” is a good idea. After all, this would mean that businesses and other organizations would be doing their best to achieve their goals and objectives and excel in whatever field they work in. There are, however, some disadvantages to this concept.
One such disadvantage is that it can often result in people being marginalized or discriminated against because of the way they look or who they are. This means that there will always be those who do not have access to these “practices” simply because they don’t meet certain criteria set by society. For example, women might find themselves excluded from jobs where men dominate due to gender stereotypes.
While “best practices” can be helpful and worth considering, they shouldn’t be blindly adhered to. Instead, think of them as useful guides. If they reflect your own way of working or can help you solve a problem you are having, then that is great. But if they don’t fit within your own context or workflow, then don’t feel pressured to follow them—creativity is about making things your own, after all.
