Tainted with corruption, Bihar training minister resigns days after taking oath- The New Indian Categorical

PATNA: Bihar training minister Mewa Lal Chaudhary, whose appointment to the publish had triggered an issue on account of a corruption taint, on Thursday tendered his resignation, barely three days after being sworn in as a member of the Nitish Kumar cupboard.

Chaudhary, who was allotted the portfolio on Tuesday, a day after taking oath, despatched his resignation instantly after assuming cost at 1 P.M., knowledgeable sources stated.

Chaudhary, who belongs to the JD(U) headed by the chief minister, had been named an accused in a five-year-old case referring to alleged irregularities in appointment of academics and technicians at Bihar Agricultural College, Bhagalpur, the place he was the Vice Chancellor.
