DEHRADUN: In a curious case, the Centre has not been capable of body pointers to deal with instances of alleged corruption towards a former central vigilance commissioner (CVC).

In a current RTI reply, the Union Ministry of Personnel acknowledged there are “no pointers to deal with complaints of corruption and different misconduct towards Central Vigilance Commissioner/Vigilance Commissioners”.

The RTI plea was filed by Indian Forest Service officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi, who’s posted as chief conservator of forests in analysis wing of Uttarakhand forest division in Nainital.

The reply on September 28 additionally says there are 4 complaints towards former CVC KV Chowdary between January 2014 and August 2020.

He was the CVC from June 2015 to June 2019. In 2017, Chaturvedi in his grievance to the President, acknowledged there have been six situations of misconduct towards Chowdary.
