Mob assaults cops in UP’s Budaun, constable injured- The New Indian Specific

BADAUN: A mob attacked a police group in a village in Budaun’s Alapur space injuring a constable after they went there after receiving studies of gun pictures, officers mentioned on Sunday.

The incident occurred in Kakrala village on Saturday night time.

After receiving studies of gun pictures, constables Ashok Bhadauria and O P Singh reached the village, following which a mob attacked them and began brick-batting, ASP Praveen Singh Chauhan mentioned.

Bhadauria sustained accidents throughout the assault and rifle of one of many two policemen was snatched by the mob, he mentioned.

Later, senior police officers reached the spot with further pressure and managed the scenario.

Budaun SSP Sankalp Sharma mentioned police have recovered the rifle which was snatched from the constable and two individuals have been arrested on this connection.

Efforts are on to nab others concerned within the incident, he mentioned.

The injured constable was admitted to a hospital, the place his situation was said to be secure, the SSP added.
