SRINAGAR: 4 safety forces personnel, together with an Military officer, and three militants had been killed throughout a failed infiltration bid by the ultras alongside the Line of Management (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Machil sector on Sunday, officers stated.
The militants made an abortive bid through the night time to infiltrate into the Indian aspect of the LoC in Machil sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, they added.
The infiltrators had been challenged and three of them had been killed, the officers stated.
Nevertheless, three Military troopers, together with an officer, and a Border Safety Pressure (BSF) jawan had been additionally killed through the operation, they added.
In the meantime, Srinagar-based defence spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia stated at about 1 am, a BSF patrol seen suspicious motion close to the Anti-Infiltration Impediment System (LoC fence), about 3.5 km from the LoC.
