The Data and Broadcasting Ministry mentioned this step was pursuant to the choice of the central authorities vide a press word of Division for Promotion of Business and Inner Commerce (DPIIT) permitting 26 per cent FDI underneath authorities approval route on ‘importing/streaming of present affairs and information by Digital Media’.
